The general cargo terminal at Hamad Port is designed to handle all non-container cargo regardless of size and other specifications with transit sheds, cold storage and extensive paved area. In full capacity, the terminal can handle 7 millions tonnes. Machinery, steel, dry bulk, building materials, fertilizers and petrochemical products are handled in the general cargo terminal. The positive momentum in the country’s maritime trade is getting stronger every year in the as Qatar has opened new trade routes and has diversified its source of supply.
