Development of Al Ruwais Port

The project is under the supervision of Ashghal.

 Project started in early 2010.

 Project Expected to complete by 2014.

 Area of the port: Approximately 261, 224 square meters.

The main port’s components are:

Container Berth - 531m.
General Cargo Berth - 490m.
-Dry and cold stores.
-Storage areas.
-Control tower, inspection platform and administration buildings.

The port will be equipped with gantry cranes for container handlings, RTG cranes,mobile cranes and forklifts.

Current project status;

-The marine works construction is ongoing.

-Dredging of main channel is ongoing.

-Construction of container and general cargo berth will complete in 2012.

-Buildings and Port facilities are in design stage.
